Our Rehearsals

Our choirs will meet weekly during term times on Wednesday or Thursday evenings at the respective venues. During rehearsal sessions, we will work on learning the parts to songs, polishing existing repertoire, breathing and technique, and pulling it all together as a group.

Rehearsal timings are prompt, and we advise turning up to rehearsals from 5 minutes early, to leave plenty of time to start. It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water to each session, plus any lyrics or materials you need for each rehearsal (available from the online Members’ Area).

Our rehearsals generally start with a few warmups and exercises, before looking at teaching, polishing, developing and refreshing repertoire, in preparation for any forthcoming gigs or events. There’s no pressure on anyone to sing alone, and beginners can get involved from the very first session in learning our repertoire.
